Founders Letter & Editorial | February 2025

Feb 01, 2025

A Letter from our Founder, Karlyn Percil-Mercieca

To all of my beautiful warriors,

It feels like a decade has passed in the last few weeks. Attacks on equity, gender advancement and data security are threatening to roll back decades of progress.

My mantra remains the same; to find pockets of joy in each moment. Notice the distraction but don’t get distracted.

Wisdom codes from Bigger was on repeat 2020 at the height of global civil unrest and it’s been on repeat for the entire month.

Bigger, We’re part of something way bigger.

Bigger than you, bigger than we,

Bigger than the picture they framed us to see.

Legacy, oh you’re part of something way bigger

Notice the distraction, but don’t get distracted.

As we enter February, I will be focusing on protecting myself and my space. I will also be leaning into community building. The time for building like-minded networks, mobilizing not just for change, but to protect the advancements that we have already made.
